3 Days Safari to Nyerere National Park

overview

The Selous Game Reserve offers a remarkable wildlife experience, with a concentration of animals rivaled only by the Serengeti. While the reserve once boasted a population of over 3,000 black rhinos, their numbers have significantly dwindled to only a few hundred today. These elusive creatures often seek refuge in dense thickets, though sightings are still possible for persistent observers.

Beyond the black rhino, visitors can frequently encounter a diverse array of other wild animal species. Common sightings include bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeest, hyenas, klipspringers, impalas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, waterbucks, and zebras. Yellow baboons, vervet monkeys, and blue monkeys are consistently present, adding to the vibrant ecosystem. Occasionally, families of black and white colobus monkeys can be observed gracefully moving through the treetops
